Notes from Saturday's UK football scrimmage at Commonwealth Stadium...
* Brooks saw good things on both sides of the ball, unlike last week when the offense got the upper hand
*Hartline remains solidly entrenched as starting QB, but Brooks says it's a tight battle for backup between Will Fidler and the freshmen and said Fidler had a good scrimmage today.
*Derrick Locke participated but Brooks says he's out of shape right now; got caught from behind on a long run by Lindley
*Kicking and punting were subpar today but Cats did return a punt for a touchdown in the scrimmage
*the coach again praised the play of juco DE DeQuin Evans, who had a sack today. click here to see the interview
