Big Blue Madness is a great show but you always learn a little more about the team in the Blue-White game.  Last night produced a record fan turnout (14,000-plus) and as far as I know, it's the first time the B/W game was broadcast on the statewide Big Blue radio network.  Most of the postgame questions started with John Wall's eligibility issue but let's face it folks, this NCAA stuff usually  moves at the speed of a turtle and there's just nothing new there right now.  As for the game, here a few things that impressed me, beyond the tremendous upgrade in overall talent:

*Patrick Patterson will do just fine in the DDM offense.  He showed a nice handle and the
ability to score off the bounce
*Darnell Dodson's long range shooting is as good as advertised
*Ditto for the speed of Wall & Bledsoe
*DeMarcus Cousins' footwork and hands are superb for a big man
*Josh Harrelson's shooting ability can get him some quality minutes
*turnovers remain the main obstacle for Deandre Liggins to live up to his potential
*it's a greatly diminished role for Stevenson & Harris and that's where Patterson's leadership is a tremendous asset
