Tom's Take: Joker visits Rotary ClubJuly 29th 2010 |

Joker Phillips kept up the tradition of the Kentucky football coach addressing the Lexington Rotarians today and it was a packed house. He emphasized the need to be better in the passing game and said his biggest concern on defense is the linebackers because of inexperience at that position. When asked about the kicking game, he said he thinks freshman Joe Mansour will likely be the answer for the field goals and PATs. He addressed the QB questions before anybody even asked. He made a reference to Derrick Locke having already named the starter, but Joker is not ready to make his choice yet. (Just about every fan has an opinion on who should be the starter--my advice is to follow the message in that Stephen Stills song--"if you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with"). Joker will address a sold out UK Football Kickoff Luncheon tomorrow.
