Tom's Take: power of blue--pants

Remember the great black jersey debate?  Some said Rich Brooks was just an old fashioned coach who was too rigid when it came to the uniforms.  Well, it turns out that "Paw Paw" does have some flexibility.  For Saturday's game at Georgia, the Cats donned blue pants with their white road jerseys--the same look they wore to victory in the Liberty Bowl after the players lobbied Brooks for the change.  Only, this time, it wasn't done because of player requests.  Brooks made the move himself, to try and put a little spark in his team.  The funny thing is that nobody asked him about it after the game or since--until yesterday afternoon.  I heard the story during our taping yesterday afternoon for tonight's Brooks radio call-in show (we had to tape because I'm heading to Cancun for the b-ball tournament).  Tune in tonight at 6 eastern and you'll get the details.
