Tom's Take: Wall & Bledsoe

The Edgar Padilla (12) and Carmelo Travieso tandem on U Mass' 1996 national runnerup team is why John Calipari knows two point guards together can work.  Here's what he said in our pregame interview on the Big Blue Sports Network before the Miami game:

"They're like two brothers (Wall & Bledsoe).  The last  tandem I had this way was Edgar Padilla and Carmelo Travieso.  They were born on the same day (in different cities) in Puerto Rico.  Both spoke Spanish.  They had one heartbeat, those two.  I'm saying 'can we get these two that way?'  I think so because they really like each other.  It's just two good guys who are not intimidated by the other."

The thing to remember is that it took time for that chemistry between Padilla & Travieso to develop.  Wall and Bledsoe don't look comfortable together yet but we shouldn't be surprised about that.  If their mindset is right, they'll find their way.
